The main focus of our research includes clinical and translational research in inflammatory arthritis,\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/kollinginstitute.org.au\/osteoarthritis-research\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>osteoarthritis<\/strong><\/a>,\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/kollinginstitute.org.au\/back-pain-research\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>low back pain<\/strong><\/a>\u202fand other rheumatic diseases. While these areas are a focus, our clinicians and researchers are also investigating osteonecrosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our researchers are members of national and international advisory committees that raise awareness and promote care and research on musculoskeletal conditions. We are the Home Office for the Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Conditions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are the national lead site for\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/kollinginstitute.org.au\/a3bc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>A3BC<\/strong><\/a>\u202f\u2013 the Australian Arthritis and Autoimmune diseases Biobank Collaborative, and we encourage the involvement of patient research partners in all our projects.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We aim to make precision medicine \u2013 giving the targeted right treatment to the right patient at the right time \u2013 a reality.
